# Text Diff Checker

> Compare two text contents and see what changed between them.

- Open in browser: https://pockettoolbox.org/en/text-diff
- Runs entirely in your browser; files and input are never uploaded.

## How it works

Visualizes the differences between two text versions through color highlighting.

Paste the original text into the left field and the modified version into the right field. The tool analyzes both texts line by line with an LCS algorithm and marks added lines in green and removed lines in red. Ideal for checking code changes or text corrections.

Employs the Myers diff algorithm to calculate minimal edit scripts. Tokenizes text by line, word, or character for side-by-side comparison views.

## FAQ

### How do I compare two texts?

Paste the old text on the left and the new one on the right. Added and removed parts are highlighted in color.

### Is it suitable for contract drafts?

Yes, that is a good use for it. Both versions stay in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
