## How it works

Records audio signals from your microphone directly in the browser with professional level metering and multi-format export.

Select your microphone and begin recording. The live visualizer displays frequency spectrum and input levels in dBFS. Pause and resume your session at any time. When stopped, review the recording on the waveform player and export as uncompressed WAV, MP3, or WebM.

Accesses audio hardware via getUserMedia and analyzes PCM audio data in real time using the Web Audio API (AnalyserNode, FFT). Recordings are buffered client-side and can be exported as uncompressed 16-bit PCM WAV or encoded to MP3 via lamejs without server uploads.
